Google Quantum AI achieved the first demonstration of quantum computational advantage with Sycamore (2019) and the first below-threshold quantum error correction with Willow (2024). Google's team, led by Hartmut Neven, is pursuing a full-stack approach to building a large-scale, error-corrected quantum computer.
